Lego is launching two new sets based on some of the coolest Star Wars droid designs. First is the Battle Droid with STAP Speeder as seen in The Phantom Menace. The 1,088-piece set launches for $140 on July 1. Then, a few weeks later, a new 845-piece figure of one of the best characters from Rogue One and Andor, K-2SO, will launch on August 1 for $90. Both new Lego Star Wars droid sets are available to preorder now.

Battle Droids debuted in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, and while they're cannon fodder for Jedi to cut down, these mass-produced troops have a memorable design. As mentioned above, this set lets you build a detailed Battle Droid figure riding a STAP (Single Trooper Aeriel Platform) speeder. The completed set features posable limbs and the speeder sports numerous screen-accurate details. The set also includes a display stand with an information plaque and a Battle Droid minifigure on a tiny STAP of its own.

The 845-piece K2SO set recaptures all the detail of the reprogrammed Imperial security droid. While the legs remain fixed, the arms and head are posable. The set also features a display base with an information plaque and a K-2SO minifigure.

Lego recently launched several other new Star Wars sets that are worth checking out if you want something to build while waiting for these new droid figures to launch later this summer.
