A Game of Thrones has amassed millions of fans over the years thanks to the numerous novels by George R.R. Martin and multiple HBO TV series. And if you’re patiently waiting for the next novel, The Winds of Winter--which still does not have a release date--consider killing time with some of the official Game of Thrones tabletop games on sale during Amazon's big Prime Day sale this week. A Game of Thrones: The Board Game is down to its lowest price of the year, and is a great option for anyone seeking an all-in-one board game with strategic gameplay based on the iconic books and TV series. For those who want to wage epic battles in the lands of Westeros, there are several starter sets and expansions for A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game on sale this week, too. You can check out more about both games below.
These deals are part of Amazon's Prime Day 2025 event, which takes place from July 8 to 11. Plenty of other board games are also discounted in the sale, along with thousands of video games, Blu-rays, books, and more. Be sure to check GameSpot's Prime Day Deals Hub to see the latest discounts.
A Game of Thrones: The Board Game
$48.49 (was $65)
This strategy games sees three to six players vying for control of Westeros. You’ll need to use both brute force and careful negotiation skills to outmaneuver your opponents and claim victory--and since each of the six Great Houses offers its own advantages, there’s plenty of replayability with this asymmetrical game. The entire board and all its accessories are brought to life with gorgeous artwork, and expect a single match to last several hours.
A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game
If you’re looking to get into miniatures, three Starter Sets are discounted for Prime Day--Baratheon, Stark, and Brotherhood Without Banners. Each set comes with a bunch of highly detailed miniatures and all the accessories you need to start playing. You’ll also get terrain pieces and various bonuses that make your play sessions more engaging. For example, the Stark Set includes the following:

- 10 Terrain Pieces
- 3 Castle Walls
- 11 Dice
- Measuring Stick
- Rulebook
- Assorted Accessories (Cards, Reference Cards, Boards, etc.)
These Starter Sets are usually quite expensive--and they’re still much pricier than The Board Game--but they’re down to some of the best prices of the year right now.
- Baratheon -- $62.49 (
$110) - Stark -- $67 (
$100) - Brotherhood Without Banners -- $82.49 (

Dozens of these are on sale for Prime Day, including Baratheon’s King’s Men for $21 (was $35) and Stark Heroes II for $30 (was $40). The latter is a pretty great option, as it gets you iconic characters like Arya Stark and a direwolf, among many others. Keep in mind that some of these expansions are designed for specific starter sets, so pay attention to the requirements for each if you’re hoping to take them into battle. But if you’re just looking to collect and paint the units, you’re free to shop around.
