@uninspiredcup: Yeah, she's not bad in the show. Bit annoying on occasion, but that's probably more the writing. Gonna start season 2 when it's finished.

Still need to watch The Last of Us tv show. Am interested in doing so because it was the story and characters that got me through the two games.

@Macutchi: Half you played Stalker? Donno how well it would play on console. Playing on master and even with the M+K get destroyed.

3 games are quite different as well, not the typical expansion where it's more of the same. SOC/CS/COP borderline feel like different games.

Which honestly makes them more interesting.

serious? pretty sure we've spoke about the stalker games a fair bit over the years lol. yeah got them all on pc. got a physical copy of soc, maybe even the others. got them all on steam too

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl is still the best game in the series. I tried to get into Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat but both games aren't as good as SOC. I also played a bit of Stalker 2 but quit right away. Wasn't feeling it. I might give it another chance in the future.

@AcidTango: Slightly prefer COP personally. But the underground sections and climax of SOC are way better.

COP also has the opposite problem where it's too easy, in part due to it's open bowl design where the AI thrives better in tight spaces.

i am now tbh, for anything aaa anyway. was pc through and through back in the noughties but slowly made the transition over to living room / armchair console gamer 10-15 years ago. still always have a pc on the go though. use it mainly to pick up any new indies that take my fancy and sweep up any classics missed out on in steam sales

@Macutchi: That's interesting, usually the other way around.

Stuck to master, not hard as thought. A lot like Gothic where start to feel character growing more powerful as time goes on, the hardest setting seems to emphasize that aspect better.

James Bond Producer Slams Amazon As 'F**king Idiots': Report

Barbara Broccoli is said to be feuding with the company over the future of the superspy and how to maximize the character's potential.

Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service has apparently dreamed about maximizing the intellectual property of fictional superspy James Bond ever since the company closed a deal to buy Hollywood studio MGM back in May 2022.

But there have no been no new movies, or even a new actor to play 007, since the 2021 release of “No Time To Die,” which marked Daniel Craig’s last leading role in the film series.

And it looks like no releases are on the horizon, thanks to what The Wall Street Journal says is a big feud between franchise owner Amazon and producer Barbara Broccoli, who shares creative control with half-brother Michael Wilson after inheriting it from father Albert R. Broccoli.

According to a Thursday story in the Journal, sources close to Barbara Broccoli say that she doesn’t think Amazon is a good fit for Bond. The outlet wrote that she “can hold Bond hostage from Amazon for as long as she sees fit,” and quotes a line from her dad in justification: “Don’t have temporary people make permanent decisions.”

At other times, she has used her own words, referring to people at Amazon as “fucking idiots,” according to the Journal (which printed a censored version of her remarks).

Issues between Amazon and Broccoli seemed to pop up amid the MGM acquisition.

During negotiations for the deal, Amazon committed to debuting Bond films in theaters first, rather than on streaming, the Journal wrote. But when executives suggested bringing Bond into the Amazon universe, with something like a TV show, a spinoff for the Moneypenny character or even a female 007 series, Broccoli’s response was often said to be the same: “Did you read the contract?”

Amazon execs are perhaps reluctant to cast an unknown actor as the next Bond, running against Broccoli’s preference for what the Journal described as a mixture of “gut instinct with a healthy amount of risk” in decisions for the franchise, like casting a much less famous Craig in 2006′s “Casino Royale.”

Wilson’s son, Gregg Wilson, has helped produce recent entries in the Bond film series, and sources tell the Journal he seems open to updating the character.

For her part, Broccoli has reportedly told friends that she’d be OK with casting a nonwhite or gay actor as Bond, but believes he should always be played by a British man.

And while Amazon Prime Video seeks to make hay with the franchise, execs have made unforced errors when dealing with Broccoli.

During one meeting, she was apparently offended when an executive referred to Bond as “content.”

Yea forget how OP the scope was in Stalker, once have it becomes easy as piss even on master.

watched sinners this weekend. brilliant film. so much packed in it, don't think there was a surplus scene or unnecessary line. all of it clinically paced and delivered. slight dusk til dawn vibe in terms of the (near) sudden theme switch, but so much better. fantastic.

watched final destination bloodlines too. pretty fun all in all, better than expected. good beer and pizza type film.

do you have your pc set up in your living room? always had mine in a bedroom with table and chair, but as i got older i got tired of having to go upstairs to play games. i just wanted to plonk my arse in my armchair and play, but my pc with mouse and keyboard always felt awkward and out of place in the living room.

yeah soc is my favourite, but i did enjoy cop.

i parked stalker 2 a few weeks after it launched. the potential was there, it just felt underbaked and it'd be better off waiting for patches and updates. i was playing it on console though so no mods. and despite the optimisations for console it did still feel more like a pc game. i follow the stalker 2 subreddit and opinions on its current state still seem to be mixed

Turns out the artifacts you hold e.g. 20+ Rad - 18 end, will permanently make you encumbered if you stack them

Which never noticed in any prior playthrough, just goes to show.
