Official 1,342-Piece Xbox 360 Console Building Set Gets $50 Discount

Officially licensed by Microsoft, the Mega Showcase Xbox 360 model kit looks great and has multiple interactive components.

The officially licensed Xbox 360 Collector Building Set is on sale for $100 (was $150) at Target. The 1,342-piece model is also available at Walmart for the same price from third-party resellers and ships directly from Walmart. Designed by Mega Bloks in partnership with Microsoft, the 3:4-scale model of the Xbox 360 launch edition is part of the Mega Showcase Collector series for adults. The authentic display model has multiple interactive components and is packaged in a replica of the console's original box.

The Mega Showcase Xbox 360 has only received a handful of discounts since launching in October 2023, and the current deal matches the all-time low.

Check out the image below for a look at each interactive component featured on the Xbox 360 brick set.

For a dedicated building set themed around the Halo franchise, check out the steeply discounted 609-piece Guilty Spark display model at Amazon. This replica is equipped with LED lights and even has a speaker that repeats 15 different phrases from the games.

Lego Video Game Hardware Models

Mega's Xbox 360 building kit is one of several officially licensed models of popular gaming hardware to release in recent years. Lego has partnered with Nintendo, Bandai Namco, and Atari on some very cool display models. The 421-piece Lego Game Boy is slated to launch October 1. Preorders are sold out at major retailers, but you can still reserve the $60 set at the Lego Store.

The Lego Nintendo Entertainment System and Lego Atari 2600 are retired, but Amazon just restocked the 2,532-piece Atari model for its original $240 price.

@Abdulrahman1981: FACTS!

1981 Dude, we had no idea how good we had it until it was taken from us.

Live service,,Micro T's,,Always online in single player games...

1/2 baked games,,,missing features,,,cash grabby sequels(Battlefront etc)

And even MMOs are a thing of the past...Look how fan friendly early WOW,GuildWars,City of heroes.

Remasters are so popular because greed & lazy or evil have no creativity & can only copy/paste..

The early ore update Xbox360 has been on my bucket list for almost 10 years now..

I just can't see many people wanting to spend money on this thing or own it. I liked the 360, I enjoyed that system the most that gen. And I also really liked Halo 3, probably the 360 game I played the most. But it would have to be a pretty small minority of fans who would actually want to put together a Mega Blocks replica of the 360, and have it take up space in their home.

At the end of the day, wouldn't these same people just much rather be playing a Series X?

I guess if it were some less-expensive collector's item, that would be one thing. Or if it were something usefully functional, like coasters or a door mat, or something. Only the 100 guys in the world who built some dedicated Halo/XBOX shrine in their home with a custom shelf to display this thing are really gonna get their money's worth out of this set.

Eh, end rant.

@rewgle: agreed!

But your forgetting the cancer of gaming known as streamers.

They will put these in the backround.

Esp the fake gamers like The Quartering.

@sippio: Fair point. I guess I don't tend to think about streamers that often, so I didn't even think of that.
